## talks

1- Analysis task force talk by Adrian.

  • Mailing list created with all presents in the meeting + Vladik and Kostia.
  • Code repository: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CALICE/SiWDESY201706
  • elog https://llrelog.in2p3.fr/calice/ (ecal / calice)
  • Vincent will study how to create a common user/project to be used with the CERNbox. For the moment we all have acces to the data (Taikan can copy the data for Yu and Izumi)
  • Simulation studies: not clear what code/strategy to use. although it seems clear that we should go ahead with DD4HEP --> Daniel Jeans is the person to talk about this in the near future.
    • so far, codes from apsallid and Thibault
  • Conferences prospects: CALICE/ CHEF/ LCWS/IEEE
    • Analysis not including shower profiles/comparison to MC

2- Raw2root talk by Adrian

  • Still not 100% clear how well the bcid+1 events are understood and tagged. Seems that with a new raw2root version that checks the bcid of following sca (not previous) will improve the results. To be checked.
  • Redefinition of badbcid variable.

3- Retriggering analysis by Yu.

  • Retriggers and double pedestal are intrinsically related. Seems that it is due to collective effect (some change in the reference bias seen by preamps ?)
  • Double pedestal distributions are always far from the beam spot.

4- Pedestal Analysis by Bokyeom

  • Study of pedestal stability. The average of all 15 SCAs pedestal is compared run by run, showing no variation in time or ennergy of the beam.
  • Analysis done using the badbcid==0 and only chips hitted by the beam.

## Person power / availability

Yu: Available until beginning August.

Adrian: More or less the same.

Artur: A bit busy for the moment (CMS test beam and others). Can help now with code maintance and similars.

Izumi: Focus on sk2a.

Bokyeom: Focus on COB test bench studies.

Adrian and Yu will take the lead and produce some results with CALICE meting in the scope. After this, we should regroup.

## To do:

  • Create siwecal user/login for the cernbox. Vincent?
  • Add to this folder the commissioning data (cosmic runs)
  • New raw2root and official "production" of ntuples in a "filtered" folder. Adrian. Next week.
  • Retriggering studies (Yu)
    • Repeat study, specially slide 3, for HG. If the effect is due to some change of baseline seen by the preamps, we expect some differences.
    • Repeat plots from slide 3 for all slabs.
    • Repeat plots from slide 3  for at least one grid point in the other corner of the slab (grid0)
    • Repeat plots from slide 3 for cosmic runs taken during commissioning (Adrian will send you the data)
