Geant4 Tutorial and International Multidisciplinary User Workshop

Europe/Paris
Description

Ton Duc Thang University is organizing a Geant4 Tutorial and International Multidisciplinary User Workshop.

The event will take place on June 15-16, 2017 at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The tutorial will take place on June 15 at Ton Duc Thang University and will be dedicated to new Geant4 users, having a basic knowledge of C++; lectures and hands-on will be taught in Vietnamese.

The international workshop will take place on June 16th at the same location. Participants will have the opportunity to present their Geant4-based research work orally exclusively during a plenary session, in English. We encourage young researchers from Vietnam and from neighbouring countries to join this workshop. Covered Geant4 topics include and are not limited to:

  • nuclear and particle physics
  • interface physics-medicine-biology, including Geant4-DNA
  • space applications
  • dosimetry, radiation protection

Talks will be 25 minutes long (+5 minutes for questions).

There is no registration fee to participate to these events, following the open source tradition of Geant4.

Please make sure to read the Practical information section.

The tutorial poster is available here and the workshop poster here.

We look forward to welcoming you at Ton Duc Thang University !

Registration opening: February 1st, 2017
