Description
As a complement to its flagship LHC program at the high energy frontier, CERN hosts a diverse panel of lower energy experiments involving a thousand of physicists from all over the world. In order to investigate the possible future of these researches in the next two decades, and to prepare the next update of the European Particle Physics strategy, the CERN Management has recently set up a dedicated study group named “Physics Beyond Colliders”. A kick off workshop of the study was organized at CERN on September 6-7th with an open call to contributions from the community. The presentation will summarize the current status of the field at CERN and sketch the new developments which are proposed for the future.
