Title: Quantum periods of Calabi-Yau fourfolds
Abstract: In this talk I discuss aspects of quantum periods together with their Picard-Fuchs differential equations of Calabi-Yau fourfolds with a single Kähler modulus. In contrast to Calabi-Yau threefolds, I argue that the large volume points of generic Calabi-Yau fourfolds with a single Kähler modulus correspond to regular singular points of their Picard-Fuchs operators of non-maximally unipotent monodromy. I present this property in the context of explicit Calabi-Yau fourfold examples and describe techniques to determine their integral quantum periods, genus zero and genus one Gromov-Witten invariants, emphasizing those features attributed to the non-maximally unipotent monodromy property.
