The DarkSide-50 direct dark matter experiment recently published its first dark matter search result (http://arxiv.org/abs/1410.0653), which represents the current best limit on WIMPs using a liquid Argon time projection chamber. In parallel in autumn last year the DarkSide group of Hawaii executed an extensive calibration campaign using gamma and neutron sources, which lasted several weeks. I will discuss the paper, present preliminary analysis from the calibration campaign and give an outlook on the next updates to the DarkSide detector.
