Description
The LHCb experiment is a forward spectrometer dedicated to the study of heavy flavour, which collected 3 fb-1 of data during Run I of the LHC. I will discuss two different kinds of time-dependent analyses performed at the LHCb detector : the first determination of the CKM angle gamma using Bs->DsK decays, and the design and operation of LHCb's high level trigger (HLT) system. In particular, I will focus on innovative real-time analysis techniques developed in the LHCb HLT during Run I of the LHC, as well as HLT plans for Run II and the upgrade of the LHCb detector. Finally, I will discuss how these developments in real-time data analysis will enable an expansion of LHCb's physics programme over the next decade.
