After decades of searches, the LHC Run-I data allowed for the Higgs boson discovery. Going through the main steps leading to this event and discussing the Higgs boson property measurements, the seminar will illustrate this new sector of precision measurements. Finally, the prospects for future analyses in the Higgs sector will be discussed.
