On Dark Matter searches
par Julien LAVALLE (LUPM)
Résumé
I will review some generic sketches of the dark matter issue(s) and show how particle physics beyond the standard model might solve them in a consistent picture. Then I will discuss the status of some particle candidates, and explain the currently used detection strategies (direct, indirect, colliders, etc.) and their complementary potentials for discovery or exclusion. I will show that there are very good prospects for going very deep in the relevant particle(s) parameter space within a decade or so, and even to challenge the well-known WIMP paradigm if no detection is made by that time.
