Alignment of the ATLAS Inner Detector - Run I Experience

After a quick journey to the world of linear algebra and principles of track-based alignment, our to-date experience with alignment of the ATLAS Inner Detector will be reviewed. Main challenges, notably strategy to deal with very large systems and elimination of systematic deformations, will be discussed. Summary of Run I performance will be complemented by a short outlook into Run II.
