Description
As part of the ATLAS Inner B Layer (IBL) upgrade the Diamond Beam Monitor (DBM) will be installed. The DBM uses artificial diamond, pCVD, with a pixel pattern as the charged tracking device. The DBM will consist of four 3-layer telescopes on each side of the interaction point and will provide bunch by bunch beam spot monitoring. One of the goals of this system is to enable ATLAS to measure the luminosity to 1%. Details of the design and construction of the DBM will be presented in this talk.
