DESCRIPTION:English below\nNotre compréhension actuelle de l’Univers\,
énoménologie de l’axion.------------Our current understanding of the U
niverse's history\, based on the standard models of particle physics and c
osmology\, can successfully reproduce a wide variety of experimental resul
ts. Key issues like the nature of dark matter (DM) or the baryon asymmetry
of the Universe (BAU) need new physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM)\,
with most solutions invoking the existence of new particle degrees of free
dom in the early Universe. Studying the dynamics of those BSM particles th
roughout cosmological history involves intricate Thermal Field Theory (TFT
) computations\, with the quantity of interest being the equilibration rat
e of the particle. In this thesis\, we focus on the computation of the equ
ilibration rates of particles\, using the case of the axion (a popular DM
candidate) as a common thread. To properly describe the physics\, we also
need to account for the presence of the medium where the production takes
place. In a first part\, we focus on computing the rate for hard momenta (
of the order of the temperature). We define three leading-order equivalent
schemes for describing the medium. The computation method can be generali
zed to an arbitrary model\, which allowed us to create the AutoTherm code
which performs such tasks automatically. In a second part\, we compute the
rate at soft momenta\, focusing on the axion specifically as the computat
ion is not model-independent anymore. This\, along with lattice results fr
om the literature\, allows us to update results relevant for axion phenome
 nology.\n\nhttps://indico.in2p3.fr/event/40459/
