DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Francesco Costanza (LAPP)\, Luis Manzanillas (Manzan
illas)\n\nThe Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) experiment
is a multi-purpose   neutrino experiment\, located in south China. Its p
rimary goals are to determine   the neutrino mass ordering (NMO) and imp
rove the precision on the neutrino oscillation   parameters ($|\\Delta m
 ^2_{31}|$\, $\\Delta m^2_{21}$ and $\\sin^2 \\theta_{12}$)   through the
study of reactor anti-neutrinos.\nJUNO main detector consists of a 20-kton
liquid scintillator central detector (CD)  readout by more than 43\,000
PMTs. It is surrounded by a 35-kton water pool (WP)\,   that serves as a
muon veto and shield against natural radioactivity\, and an external Top
Tracker plastic scintillator muon detector.\nAfter ten years of detector c
onstruction and eight-month commissioning phase\,   JUNO started physics
data taking at the end of August 2025.  Its first physics results on sol
ar parameters were released in November 2025\,   while the first search
for NMO was presented in June 2026.\nThis seminar will focus on the initia
l performances of the JUNO detector   and on the two first neutrinos osci
 llation results with reactor antineutrinos.\n\nhttps://indico.in2p3.fr/eve
