Description
LHC is running at unprecedented proton collision center of mass energies which will make new physics more accessible than the Tevatron. Meanwhile, Tevatron is taking high efficiency data which is allowing us to search for new physics higher and higher energy tails of proton and anti-proton collisions. At high energies, the signatures of new physics may involve highly boosted final states of particles, for example, those coming from the decays of heavy fermions and bosons. Such boosted particles can evade standard event reconstruction techniques due to their decay products being observed as single objects within the detector. I will mainly talk about the various new physics signatures of boosted nature, review Tevatron's reach status and LHC's prospects. I will also illustrate novel analysis techniques that have been developed at the LHC to deal with the energetic particles of new physics signatures.
