DESCRIPTION:The 2nd OSCARS Annual General Meeting will take place in Sevil
le - Spain\, at the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento in Avenida Alvaro Alonso
Barba. \nThe event will start on March 10th\, 2026\, at 10:30 CET (for O
SCARS consortium members)\, on March 11th\, 2026\, at 8:30 CET (for projec
t representatives) and will end in the afternoon of March 12th\, 2026\, at
16:30 CET.\nOSCARS consortium members and funded projects are invited to
join us to reflect on the achievements from the first two years of OSCARS
and outline the roadmap for the next ones.\nLearn more about the successfu
l projects of the 1st and 2nd OSCARS Open Calls for Open Science projects
and services and their first results\, and use the opportunity to discuss
common challenges with the OSCARS consortium members and the representativ
es of the funded projects.\nThe venue will accommodate up to 120 attendees
\, OSCARS members\, as well as representatives of the funded projects from
the Open Calls.\nUp to one representative per project will have the oppor
tunity to attend and present the challenges\, solutions\, and the potentia
l scientific impact of their initiatives\, and work with the wider communi
ty. From the OSCARS consortium we would expect about 3 representatives per
beneficiary or affiliated entity. Depending on numbers we will invite add
itional guests individually.\n\nBrowse the PROGRAMME of the event \nREGIST
ER HERE before 13 February 2026\n\nCONCEPT\nThe meeting is planned as F2F
only\, to enable as much direct contact between all participants as possib
le. Presentations are kept to an absolute minimum and are meant to deliver
mainly the background information to enable meaningful discussions in the
interactive Speed dating/poster and World Café sessions. \nDay 1 is int
ended as a consortium only day\, giving the WPs some space for internal wo
rk but also cross-WP sessions and group work in general (World Café sessi
on in the afternoon). We will start with the OSCARS WPs giving a short ove
rview of activities in the first two years\, next steps planned and the in
put needed from the consortium and the funded projects. This will be follo
wed by internal WP meetings and a first World Café session in the afterno
on.\nFor day 2 and 3 we will be joined by one representative per funded pr
oject. \nThe second day will be used to get all participants up to speed
on the new set of funded projects and the first outcomes of the 58 project
s of the 1st round. All projects will be asked to prepare a poster in addi
tion to the presentation.\nPresentations will have the same format as last
year - 3 slides in 3 minutes. In between the 5 sessions\, we will have ex
tended coffee breaks that will be used for “speed dating @ posters”. T
he day will close with a first World Café session identifying 3 common ch
allenges followed by a quick reporting back round.\nProjects from the 1st
round will be assigned to one session based on the main challenge they are
addressing\, not the cluster they are related to\, the same as last year.
\nThe third and final day will be all around working together on the commo
n challenges identified the day before\, across consortium/WPs and funded
projects from both rounds. The outcome should be a clear understanding of
what those challenges are\, who is addressing them in which project and wh
at next steps could be undertaken to tackle them. This should make sure th
at  future work in the projects and the consortium/WPs addresses actual c
ommunity needs\, but also hopefully lead to an enhanced cooperation across
all participants\, and the development of first plans that secure the ava
ilability of project results beyond the projects’ lifetime.\n\nOBJECTIVE
 S\n\n\nStrengthening the community through F2F interaction\n\n\nBring new
funded projects into the community\n\n\nInitiate closer cooperation betwee
n the funded projects\n\n\nFurther develop cooperation between OSCARS WPs
and funded projects\n\n\n\n\nIdentifying gaps/needs and activities for the
  2nd half of the project\n\n\nTraining/support/mentoring\n\n\nPrioritise a
ctivities for the next year\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY ATTEND? \n\n\nTo get an overvi
ew of the activities carried out in the first two years of OSCARS implemen
tation\;\n\n\nTo outline next steps and collect the input needed from cons
ortium and funded projects to keep up with OSCARS implementation\;\n\nTo
get an overview of the challenges tackled and activities planned in the OS
CARS funded projects\;\nTo network and enhance collaboration between OSCAR
S members and funded projects.\n\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND?\n\n\nOSCARS members
\n\nRepresentatives of the OSCARS funded projects\n\n\nCONTACT\nFor any fu
rther question about the programme\, or any other organisational aspect\,
 please contact communication@oscars-project.eu\n\nOSCARS is a four-year EU
-funded project that strives to foster the uptake of Open Science in Europ
e by consolidating the achievements of world-class European research infra
structures in the ESFRI roadmap and beyond into lasting interdisciplinary
FAIR data services and working practices. The project aims to strengthen t
he role of the Science Clusters in the ERA by developing domain-based Comp
etence Centres and by fostering the implementation of Open Science project
