DESCRIPTION:Preparation for the 2nd OSCARS Open Call for Open Science proj
 ects and services\nOn Wednesday\, 15 January 2025\, from 11:00 to 12:30 CE
 T\, join us online at the event for the preparation for the 2nd OSCARS Ope
 n Call for Open Science projects and services.\nVIDEO RECORDINGS now avail
 able HERE\nThe answers to the questions\, which have not been addressed du
 ring the event\, are available HERE.\nPlease be aware that we are NOT in 
 a position to open the call on the day of the event because of pending leg
 al advice from the EC around eligibility criteria! The opening date will b
 e shared as soon as it has been confirmed!\nThis Open Call is the last of 
 the two calls (total worth ~16 million EUR) foreseen in the frame of OSCAR
 S to support research communities from any scientific domain to take up op
 en science and foster the involvement of scientists in EOSC. \nThe 1st OS
 CARS Open Call concluded in July resulting in a total of 58 projects being
  selected for funding (read more). Some of them will be presented during 
 the event. \nParticipants will learn more about the scope and content of 
 the call\, and will have the chance to raise any question about its scope\
 , content\, conditions\, and the application process.\n\nBrowse the PROGRA

 2:00 pm CET\n\nResearchers from all scientific disciplines are welcome to 
 apply to the 2nd OSCARS Open Call\, with proposals for the development of 
 Open Science projects or services\, that together will drive the uptake of
  FAIR-data-intensive research throughout the European Research Area (ERA).
  \nProjects are funded with a lump sum between 100\,000 and 250\,000 EUR\
 , and can be proposed in the fields of any of the Science Clusters and bey
 ond\, by any researcher or group of researchers. \nBy the end of OSCARS\,
  it is expected that a series of valuable scientific results and new servi
 ces will be available\, leading to an increased uptake of Open Science by 
 researchers and to promote cross-border and cross-domain cooperation in th
 e long run.\n\nWHY ATTEND?\n\n\nTo learn about OSCARS and the funding oppo
 rtunity given by the 2nd OSCARS Open Call for Open Science projects and se

 r EU-funded project that strives to foster the uptake of Open Science in E
 urope by consolidating the achievements of world-class European research i
 nfrastructures in the ESFRI roadmap and beyond into lasting interdisciplin
 ary FAIR data services and working practices. The project aims to strength
 en the role of the Science Clusters in the ERA by developing domain-based 
 Competence Centres and by fostering the implementation of Open Science pro
