Agenda
- Introduction (John Swinbank, 2 minutes)
- Latest news on IVOA ExecutionPlanner (Dave Morris, 10 minutes)
- Overview of CTAO work on ESAP / Science Platforms (Mathieu Servillat, 24 minutes)
Notes
Introduction
- First meeting in a long time.
- This is what we make of it; let's explore how we can collaborate across big projects like SKA SRCNet and CTA.
IVOA Execution Planner
- GitHub repository
- Latest draft (auto generated)
- Discussion on the IVOA Grid & Web Services mailing list
- Everyone is invited to take a look at the document, join the discussion,
and tell us how it could be adapted to fit your use case.
Overview of CTA work on ESAP
- Mathieu's slides.
- Developing MVP for Science Data Challenge (simulated data) to focus on data download.
- Stretch goals to include discovery, previews, interactive and batch processing.
- Developing SDC app within the ESAP backend.
- Working in their own fork, but aiming to keep in sync with the ESAP repo.
- Various feature requests; need a workflow to contribute to ESAP.
Conclusions & Next Meeting
- Let's use the ESAP issue tracker at ASTRON to make feature requests and identify open questions about ESAP.
- Everybody is welcome to file issues (but you will need to register first); John will attempt to sort them out and organize them into a coherent set for future discussions.
- We can (continue to) use the e-esap mailing list for discussions.
- Non-members can sign up at https://listserv.in2p3.fr/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=E-ESAP&A=1.
- Next meeting we will hear from:
- Yan, on SKA SRCNet work (and we'll ask him to try to compare and look for commonalities with Mathieu's discussion of CTA.
- Enrique, on the ESCAPE VRE.
- Future meetings will focus on:
- Developing workflows for interacting with the ESAP codebase and fostering cross-project collaboration.
- “Deep dives” into identified topics of interest.
- Next meeting will take place on 29 November at 14:30 (ie, half an hour later than this one); details here.
