Abstract: In this talk I will discuss ongoing work that aims to find fully stable Minkowski vacua of string theory. We will restrict to specific Gepner models that correspond to non-geometric type IIB compactifications. This enables us to expand the superpotential around the Minkowski critical point up to arbitrary order in the fields and ask if massless directions are truly flat.
