Description

Flavour-specific new physics can arise in a large variety of theories beyond the Standard Model. Among them, particles coupling predominantly to the top quark represent a strong experimental challenge that can be tackled at LHC. We will review the potential top-down origins of such “top-philic” particles, then study their detection strategies at LHC and beyond. Four-top final states will be particularly studied and potential future improvements discussed.
