  • Test discussion, Yitao
    • report from test beam at DESY: A4, B4, C4, D4 got data
    • 2 triggering modes: scintillator or small DPTS
      • note that DPTS is smaller than CE65 => mostly DC-amp covered by trigger
    • event monitor developed in EUDAQ -> allows alignment check
      • CE-65 values crudely selected
      • alignment between ALPIDE & CE65 observed
    • noise analysis with TAF, some difference with or without beam
    • first look at hits from TAF (no correlation with tracks)
    • Note that the DAQboard used in beam is different from lab
      • clock is 40 MHz
    • next steps
      • continue a bit the analysis on clusters only with TAF
      • develop analysis with corrycreckan for correlation with tracks
    • Additional lab test before Christmas
      • AC-Amp need more systematic data
      • Suggestion by Andrei to scan the phase shift => need help from Cagliari here

 

  • MOSS design, Fred, Xiaochao
    • mock-submission soon to be sent (without the new metal layers)
    • new PDK with 2 metal layers => potentially small impact on our part

 

  • CE-65++ design, Andrei
    • first chip on its way with one pixel type
    • may not be fully complete but still good for mock-submission
    • next year the design of other variants should be easier
    • about 3.3 V digital IO? let's switch to the CERN way whenever defined

 

  • MOST design, Szymon
    • quite some work to achieve before Christmas
    • but no show-stopper
    • impact of new PDK seems limited for Szymon's part

     

    * About test system for ER1 sensors
       - under discussion, DAQboard probably not suited for MOSS
       - for CE65++, DAQboard will need modification (hw and fw)
       - we should expect ~6 months for fabrication,
            so taking into account submission April = test ~October

    * NEXT MEETING January 6th, 10:30
