    • We are kindly asking to:
      • All partners to provide a brief summary of hiring and FTE commitments in WP2 and brief summary of the activities you are involved in WP2.
        • Thanks to those that already sent the report to us!
      • Task leads to provide a short high level summary of status and plans. Do not forget to mention contributions to conferences, webinars, articles, etc.

  • LOFAR Task Force: at the last EB proposed a task force across WP(2,3 and 5) for the LOFAR demonstrator. Kick-off meeting today 15 July among task leads and ESCAPE Technical Coordinator.
    • Proposal: LOFAR as cross-WP task force
      • Propose to have the LOFAR use case (which is in a quite advance status) as a driver to initiate a task force among WP2, WP3 and WP5 to finish a demonstrator by Feb 2021 (+2 years of the project).
      • This could be a good input for the progress report due in Oct/Nov.
      • Three main points:
        • LOFAR Data stored in the datalake on different sites with different replication policies
        • LOFAR Software available from the ESCAPE repos, ready to be access/shipped/downloaded to the processing nodes (hundreds of MB)
        • Running workflows in the ESAP, demonstrate data IO from/to the datalake
      • This also could be the way to quickly enable later on same demonstrators LSST, CTA, EGO/VIRGO and TSPs.
