CERN: 3 FTEs (~2.5 for WP2)

GSI
1 person already hired since August 2019 (Paul) next tasks: (WP2.1) :
- build a first data lake prototype together with Groningen
- integrate XRootD based resources into CERN prototype. Second person (Marek) hiring in process
PIC
* PIC joined the data lake prototype. dCache endpoint created for ESCAPE VO (task 2.1)
* Plans to hire new person to work on WP2. Delayed in the hiring process. Aim for having someone asap, hopefully before the end of the year. Interest in participating in Rucio testing. Possibility to use gamma ray telescope data.
IN2P3-CC (10PM on task 2.2)
Adrien for the design and operation of the prototype testbed (integration)
Bastien working on Rucio and on test of dcache event for LSST use case (data lifecycle orchestration)
Hiring process: still pursuing. Actually the work is going on with the members above and will be redeployed with the hiring.
SKAO
SKAO has hired 2 full-time posts (James Collinson and Rohini Joshi) who will contribute 1 FTE equivalent to WP2 between them (with their other time on WP5). For WP2 they will work on Task 2.2 (and would be very interested in Task 2.3).
Additionally we are in the process of hiring someone to work on task 2.4, perhaps in combination with contributions to task 2.2. (I.e. data movement both outside and within rucio). The job advert should be ready in two weeks, hope to hire someone by end of Q4 2019. (This role is anticipated to evolve into a permanent post as SKA, so please mention this to relevant (good) people in your own institutes).
DESY: one position open, in the interviewing process.
INFN: 2 people for WP2 AAI and caching. plus some extra manpower might be available in ROMA1 and Napoli.
LAPP: Task2.2 and Task2.3 hiring in process. Implementation of the storage orchestration for CTA computing model, validation of the CTA use case.
