Description

This French-Australian FASIC workshop will gather experts of the sub-atomic physics community to explore nuclear reactions and their applications, from astrophysics to medicine. These applications include, but are not limited to, stellar nucleosynthesis, the physics of neutron star, and hadron therapy. These applications are positioned to benefit from the latest developments in radiation detection systems, as well as theoretical models of nuclear collisions.

The workshop will take place over two days, with informal oral presentations. Plenty of time will be allocated to discussions. The workshop will be concluded by a discussion around future collaborations between French and Australian research communities in the form of an “International Joint Laboratory”. All welcome to attend.
