Venue

The city of DunHuang is a desert oasis along the Silk Road, at the foot of the Tibetan plateau. It is a major touristic attraction in China, set at the foot of giant sand dunes with closeby caves holding numerous and beautifull buddhist statues & paintings dating back to the golden ages of the Silk Road, and few tens of kilometeres away from the Westernmost sections of the Great Wall.

DunHuang can be reached by daily flights from Xi'An, Lenzhou and Beijing (see details below and here). Trains to Xi'An (24h) or Lanzhou (1 night) are a pleasant alternative for those who have time!

The exact venue of the workshop will be announced very soon, but it will for sure be a down-town hotel of international standard.

All local costs (hotel, food and transportation to the GRANDProto300 site) will be covered by the workshop organisation.

Visits to the local tourists attractions may be organised on the days following the workshop, depending on the demand. Persons interested are therefore kindly requested to state so when registaring. More infos to come soon on this topic!
