Description
With experiments for direct detection of Dark matter fast approaching their limits, it is crucial to exploit every strategy for discovery of dark matter. We examine the complementarity between simplified models for DM with effective field theoretical descriptions for searches at the LHC. Going beyond these simple models, with the supersymmetric neutralino as a candidate, we further examine the complementarity of future detection prospects via collider searches as well as via direct detection experiments that can be used to discover signatures of dark matter.
