Modified gravity involves light scalar fields which could potentially lead to a violation of General Relativity in the solar system. This can be avoided thanks to screening mechanisms which have been recently classified. I will present the physics of screening and some models such as f(R) gravity or Galileons. I will comment on the prospects of modified gravity signals in particle physics experiments.
